Simple Accommodation

Kingston Studio is a simple, open plan traditional wooden cottage. Upgraded for the 2022 season.

This sweet Caribbean cottage offers basic accommodation ideal for a couple or a single guest. 

The property is not offering luxury but a simple stay benefiting from its fantastic location and unbeatable pricing for this area of the island. This lovely corner of lower bay is for the connoisseur of Bequia and you can slip into island life seamlessly.

Prime Lower Bay location

A wonderful, peaceful location to the south of Lower Bay on a semi private road, leading up from the beach.  This charming rental is just a short stroll from the sand of beautiful Lower Bay Beach (short but steep so may not be suited for guests with mobility issues).

From Lower Bay Beach, you are only a short water or land taxi to Princess Margaret Beach, and from Bequia's bustling Port Elizabeth Harbour, where you can organise a range of activities, from diving, to day sails to other islands in the Grenadines, including Mustique and the Tobago Cays.

A Tranquil Escape

This is a quiet, simple and blissful location, where you can truly escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. There is no phone or TV, (WIFI is provided) just the natural sounds around you, and the knowledge that you are close to one of the islands most beautiful white sandy beach.

Kitchen & Dining

The Living room and kitchen are open plan and cool. The kitchen is basic but recently upgraded for 2022 and equipped with all you will need including fold up extendable counter.  This area opens out onto the lovely covered veranda where you can look out and appreciate your beautiful surroundings.
There is a fridge, microwave, stove/oven, blender, toaster, and French press coffee maker. There is hot and cold water available.  Most of the kitchen utensils and equipment have been updated and replaced since 2019.  In the kitchen there are 3 large louvered windows for increased light and ventilation. There are two large patio doors that open up to the covered porch. Dish soap, dish towels, and sponges are provided.  Dining out on Bequia offers guests many options.

Open Plan Living

The living area is basic and traditional, but comfortable featuring a new deep seating love seat, coffee table and rocking chair (2019).  There is a range of books to choose from on the bookshelves, as well as some board games.  The living space also opens out onto the covered porch. A fan is provided in the living area.

One double bed

Kingston Studio sleeps one or two guests in a Queen bed, on a mezzanine floor 2 steps above the living space. Square Mosquito netting and full length dressing mirror are provided. The bed is separated from the living space by large half wall which doubles as the bookshelf. There are 2 closets, one that allows you to hang your clothes and the other that has shelves along with a small chest of drawers and the safe. There are 5 louvered windows that helps ventilate the room and provides natural light. All linens, duvets, covers and protectors are new from 2019 onwards. For hygienic purposes, the bed has a bamboo mattress cover and pillow protectors that are changed between guests. For added comfort, another fan is provided in the bedroom. The bathroom with shower and hot & cold water is located beside the bedroom. Hand soap and toilet paper are provided.  There is also a hairdryer available upon request.

Porches

There is a shaded porch that is accessed from the living area and kitchen with a bistro set. From the porch you can really appreciate the beautiful views of the sea and harbour making the Kingston Studio a great place to enjoy a relaxing Bequia holiday. On the side porch there is also a hammock to lounge in.

Safety & Security

There is a programmable safe located in one of the closets. There is also a smoke detector installed in the bedroom and a fire extinguisher located in the kitchen. Complimentary hand sanitizer is provided and cloth masks are available for a nominal fee ($1 USD or $3 EC).  A small handheld LED flashlight is also provided.  For added security, please ensure that windows and doors are bolted and latched before leaving the property, and of course, lock the front door.

Amenities and Services:

The house also comes with unscented and citronella tealights and votives with holders.  A flower vase is also provided with fresh flowers upon arrival.  For mosquito protection, “Biogent Mosquitaire” mosquito traps are utilized on the property along with brand new mosquito nets in the bedroom. WIFI is also available. 

Beach chairs and Beach towel sets are available for a fully refundable deposit. 

Linens and towels are changed twice a week by the housekeepers, except when the guest is quarantined.  In the event, a guest is in quarantine, extra sheets and towels are provided to the house prior to guest arrival.  Garbage and compost are picked up daily by housekeeping.  Additional housekeeping, including laundry, can be arranged at additional cost. For stays exceeding two weeks, a full housecleaning is provided every 2 weeks at no extra cost. Brooms, dustpans, cleaning sponges, toilet brushes, and all cleaning supplies are provided.  An iron is available upon request.

Please note that there are cats on the property. They are very friendly and help provide pest control.
