Plantation view is a brand new, Mustique inspired, classical, colonial style villa, featuring a symmetrical layout, with a central, elegant, open plan living space and an 80’ long, full width, covered balcony, accessed through floor to ceiling pocket doors. All rooms are on one level.

Nestled in the quiet and peaceful hills of upper Belmont, on a private road, with spectacular, panoramic, west facing, sunset views over horseshoe shaped admiralty bay, and the western cays.

This elegant home is approached from its own private parking area. A wide, sweeping, outside staircase, takes you to the bougainvillea clad courtyard. As you enter the house, through the classical portico, your breath will be taken away by the sensational, uninterrupted views, over the infinity pool, and beyond to the turquoise waters of the Caribbean sea.

Full Width Terrace

Eight seater dinning table, comfortable rattan sofa and chairs, where you can sip your cocktails and enjoy the gentle breeze, the swaying palms of the plantation hotel below, and enjoy the stunning views out to sea, from the 80’ balcony.

Enjoy a swim in the 24’ centrally placed, curved infinity pool, with under water seating and pool lights. Relax and work on your tan on the deep cushioned sun beds, or enjoy a book under the parasols.

Sitting Room

Featuring a ‘white on white’, serene interior, with plush, comfortable, imported sofas, lamps, and a baby grand piano for your entertainment. Full height pockets doors allow for mesmerising views over the iridescent jewel like sea.

There is also a luxury powder room for your convenience.

Kitchen Area

The fully equipped kitchen is reminiscent of a colonial club house bar, featuring mirror backed display cabinets and high bar stools. Double sink, 6 x burner gas stove and oven, microwave, dishwasher, electric kettle, drinks fridge, coffee maker, toaster.

Directly behind the kitchen there is a separate, generous sized, walk in larder room, with large American style fridge freezer.

Plantation View is approx 12 minute walk, down to the nearest beach or into the bustling centre of Port Elizabeth, where you will find a selection of shops, bars and restaurants.

Two Ocean Facing Bedrooms

Rooms are located either side of the sitting room, offering maximum privacy for our guests.

Watch the shimmering ocean with the pretty yachts bobbing up and down, directly from your four poster bed. Both bedrooms are of equal size with double aspect, working shuttered windows. Rooms have ac, high tray ceilings, ceiling fans, natural breathable mosquito nets. Enjoy direct access, through the pockets doors, onto the wide covered terrace, and that incredible ocean view.

Experience a luxurious nights sleep on the super comfortable, UK imported mattress’s, dressed with cool Egyptian cotton 400 ply linen. Delight in the hummingbirds, just outside your windows. Both bedrooms have a dressing area, and ensuite marble bathroom, featuring double aspect shuttered windows, walk in showers and hot solar powered water.

Bequia has a very low crime rate and visitors are welcomed warmly. For your peace of mind the villa has a security system and is viewed locally as one of the safest places to stay on the island - due in part, to the high wall and fence at the entrance to the property and also to its location, in up-market Belmont.

Please note this villa is not suitable for children under 18 years because of the steep drop from the infinity pool, and the low level bedroom window sills that offer fabulous views into Port Elizabeth or the western keys.

We accept bookings for a minimum of 4 nights (except around Christmas and New Year, when the minimum is 7 nights).

Our delightful housekeeper will greet you on arrival and show you around the property. Laundry Service is available through the housekeeper for a nominal fee. The owners and their Bequia team very much look forward to welcoming you to Plantation View and will do all they can to ensure your visit is enjoyable and that you would wish to return to visit us again.

Clients are strongly advised to obtain Cancellation and Disruption Travel Insurance, which includes COVID 19 cover. In the event of cancellation, this insurance should offer cover for the clients themselves, for any unforeseen circumstances requiring cancellation. The owners do not accept cancellation liability.
