Based on the Moorish principle of using water as a central feature, most of the rooms lead directly off the elegant pool, making Mangwana spacious, cool and airy yet surprisingly intimate. Looking south from a height of 600 ft down over the jewel-like southern  Grenadines, the pool has simply amazing views all around.

Exceptional Location

Situated at the top of Friendship Heights, Mangwana offers one of the most breathtaking locations on Bequia.

From the wooden sun deck at treetop level, guests have a captivating 300 degree view encompassing Battowia and Balliceaux to the east, Mustique (only six miles away) to the southeast, the entire south Grenadines and Bequia's own leeward side with It's beautiful beaches. You could spend your entire vacation watching the ever-changing effects of light on the reefs below, the ebb and flow of the ocean, and the passage of the sun, moon and clouds over the bays and lush hills of Bequia to the distant islands beyond. Watch the sunrise directly from your bed or the sunset from the west facing balconies with a cool sundowner in hand.

Imaginative Spaces

You enter Mangwana at mezzanine level directly into a vast living area with vaulted ceiling, open- plan kitchen and magnificent 16 ft high Brazilian hardwood doors which in turn open onto the pool and frame one of the villa's many stunning views. The villa also enjoys a spacious south-west facing shaded terrace with BBQ and a peaceful walled garden.

Mangwana is a family house with ample opportunities for fun and action. It has It's own games room and TV room with large flat screen TV. Amenities include table tennis, table football, a rowing machine and massage table, plus an area for petanque (boules) in the grounds below.

There is a safety net available to screen the pool from small children should parents prefer. A cot and high chair is also available.

Six wonderful Bedrooms

Mangwana's six cool and breezy bedrooms are large and versatile. Two have king-sized beds whilst the remaining four have twin beds, all of the twins can be locked together as doubles. Five of the six bedrooms have their own en suite bathrooms; two of them open up to the night skies. All bedrooms have their own private balcony, some overlooking the pool, others looking outwards over the ever-changing seascape.

Private Guest Wing

Mangwana also has a private guest wing with It's own kitchen and laundry room and two large balconies with breathtaking views.

Quiet and peaceful with exhilarating views

Located high above Bequia, Mangwana is exceptionally quiet and peaceful, yet it is still just a ten minute drive to the shops, bars and restaurants of Port Elizabeth and the beaches of Lower Bay, Princess Margaret Bay and Friendship Bay.

Walled Garden with Lawn

There is a beautiful walled garden with nice lawn, perfect for children at play. The gardens in general have matured and offer a natural contrast to this stunning villas crisp facade.

Sleeping a maximum of 12 guests, and with a fantastic amount of space, Mangwana works well for large groups visiting Bequia for a wedding or family or friends reunion.
